There are lots of ways to make money and certainly the stock market is one of them. But today, it's unsettling to rely on the stock market alone. Diversification is key and you should consider real estate in your overall financial plan.
I'm not talking about flipping houses. Sure you can do that. But why would you when you can make your money work much harder. Invest in real estate and maintain ongoing cash flow while generating more income over the long term.
You, too, can do it.

Ken's Predictions for 2009 Well we have a new President but it really doesn't matter in the short term. It will take a lot of radical change to undo the current situation and everyone will get in the way, along the way.
The easiest way to capitalize on the current situation is to study the trends, which are everywhere, you just have to look hard.
An estimated 300 billion in capital is sitting on the sidelines but the dislocation of the debt markets have made it difficult to finance deals, even for experienced players. I personally have had multiple problems closing loans, the requirements are changing daily as we are in escrow on two deals at the moment and the only game in town is FNMA and Freddie Mac. The market will not find a bottom until . . .
Options on Holding Your Real Estate Investment Equity As Director of Administration (which includes Legal and Investor Relations), for MC Companies, I'm often asked how an investor should "hold" their investment. Here's a few ideas:
First, "congratulations", you've made the decision to invest in real estate and proven that you are an accredited investor. What's the next step? You should always consult your legal and tax advisors to discuss how to hold/own your equity. There are several types of legal entities that can be created and used for investing and each has its own unique tax benefits. A majority of our investors' equity is owned . . .
We are Certainly in Some Wild Times We are certainly in some wild times; I can't tell you how many of my friends are in serious financial trouble. I really feel fortunate to have been surrounded by individuals that are really serious about their financial futures and have made it their priority to learn as much as they can and more importantly have actually made changes in their jobs, lifestyles and their investment choices. Hopefully, this economic mess will make people stand up and take control of their own financial future by educating themselves and make better decisions with their hard earned money and not leave it up to others. "My expectations were low at first. I've heard so many people bashing GURUs on the subject of investing in RE and thought I'd hear the same advice. I couldn't have been more WRONG! There is no fluff here. He gives you fact after fact."

"I have been investing in RE for over 20 years and I have read a lot of books. This one is the best so far and I would say it is a must read.
This book is not a Carlton Sheets (et al) get rich quick bologna book. This is a book for serious RE investors.
If you want to flip properties, this book is not for you. If you want to buy and hold properties, this is by far the best book I have ever read."
